Maninder Sidhu, P.C., M.P.

The Honourable Maninder Sidhu has served as the Member of Parliament for Brampton East since 2019. Residents of Brampton East have elected him three times to represent their voice in Parliament.

In 2025, the Right Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, appointed Maninder Sidhu as Canada’s Minister of International Trade. Prior to his appointment to Cabinet, he served for more than four years as a Parliamentary Secretary at Global Affairs Canada, where he helped strengthen diplomatic relations, promote international trade, and support international development.
